The Open Beta 10 is now live on SMITE 2. It introduces a new god along with a wave of cosmetics to the game. This new update sees the arrival of Apollo and the God of Music is more than ready to rock.
Apollo joins the game with ranged basic attacks and physical damage type. His Passive is the Audacity. What happens is that he gains a stack of Audacity for each successful Basic Attack on an enemy as well as for each successful damaging ability on Enemy gods. When it reaches 10 stacks, Apollo gets 100% Attack Speed and Increased Basic Attack Projectile Speed for his next 5 Basic Attacks.
Meanwhile, his abilities are:
Ability 1: So Beautiful
- Send a projectile forward that deals Physical Damage.
Ability 2: Serenade
- Sing to mesmerize all nearby enemies and gain additional protections.
- Any damage done breaks the Mesmerize
Ability 3: The Moves
- Dash forward dealing Physical Damage and Knocking aside all enemies. At the end of the Dash all nearby allies gain a Speed Buff and all nearby enemies are Slowed
- Any enemy hit provides 1 stack of Audacity.
Finally, there's his Ultimate Ability which is Across the Sky. What happens is that Apollo rides his chariot across the sky and can choose when to land. When he descends, he deals Physical Damage every 0.15s for 0.6s, knocking back enemies on the last tick.
That's not all since two Allies can join the Chariot ride by interacting with his takeoff location. Allies have until Apollo reaches max height to join.
Aspect of Harmony
Players should take note that his first cosmetic evolution is known as Aspect of Harmony and comes out separately on May 23. It grants free So Beautiful casts but no Attack Speed. Instead, So Beautiful scales with Item Health, lowers enemy Attack Speed, and grants nearby allies Attack Speed on God or Boss hits, but deals less Base Damage. Meanwhile, Serenade now shields nearby allies but applies no Protections. Buffing an ally grants an Audacity stack.
