New Limited-Time Quests Coming to Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis in May

It looks like SEGA is going all out in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis this May. That's because there's going to be a bunch of limited-time quests launching for everyone to enjoy. There's also special events happening.

An Urgent Quest

Attention players! The Limited-time Urgent Quest: Omen of the Planetbreaker D.2 returns on May 7. It's time for players to once again take on Malignant Dark Falz Solus with a team of eight. Those able to hurdle this challenge can get their hands on rewards like the Legend-rarity Legendios weapon series and C/Stra Scepter Augment Capsules. The C/Stra Scepter Augment Capsules in particular is an Augment Capsule which players can use at Item Lab as an Exchange Enhancement Material. These can then be used to create the powerful Augment C/Majis Dread Keeper II. However, those who don't want to burden themselves with creating Augment C/Majis Dread Keeper II need not worry since there's a chance to get it directly as a drop.

There are also Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks added to coincide with this Limited-time Quest. Those who complete tasks receive a Reward Box Medal - Solus.

Linked Event

An event that's linked to Limited-time Urgent Quests is also launching next month. There's going to be a special Reward Box available while the Limited-time Urgent Quests are ongoing. The Reward Box comes packed with 50% more items that include Star Gems, Beta Reactors, and Silver Big Bang Scratch Tickets.

Players can empty the boxes and get special rewards like the "Ex Machina Wings" for Solus, and "Ion Tail Effect" for Dalion. During Halpha's Super Origin Festival, there are Pre-announced Urgent Quests each week that players can complete twice.

Cooperate and Win

Also launching on May 7 is the Drill: Dual Route Capture Battle. This quest has players for a team of up to 12 members. They're then split into two groups which start from two different positions and take two different routes. The key to victory is taking advantage of the unique play mechanic which rewards cooperation between the two teams.

Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks are added for this Limited-time Quest and those who complete these Tasks can earn Titles, N-Augment Transfer Pass Vouchers, and Super Origin.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is set 1,000 years after the events of Phantasy Star Online 2. It takes place on Halpha, a planet on which ARKS have been locked in a battle for dominance against the mysterious DOLLS.

The game features new and improved action combat. There's also enhanced character customization to allow for more flexibility and expression than ever before. Players can choose from four unique races and eight classes as they join forces with other operatives to experience unforgettable battles and boss fights in brand new locales.
