Developer Says MUSESTRUCK Has Reached Kickstarter Goal

Developer Brennan Hester announced the success of the Kickstarter campaign for MUSESTRUCK. It was able to raise $5,000 in 19 days despite a minimal budget for marketing. However, there's still time to support the game since the campaign is expected to end May 7.

What this means is that there's time remaining to help in the development of the game and reach the stretch goals which are:

$20,000 - Switch/2 Port

$25,000 - Crafting System

$30,000 - Guest Art

$40,000 - Art Book

$45,000 - Guest Music

MUSESTRUCK is a 2D Platformer RPG that's about art and magic. Players take on the role of two young artists Journey and Quinn. The two are exploring a mysterious magical world known as Negative Space and now trying to make it back home. To defeat the comical and strange enemies, Quinn must use her powers of music while Journey must use his powers of illustration.

While their powers are different, players can actually swap between the two during combat. Journey for example can use a sword and create platforms to climb walls and even dodge enemy attack. Quinn meanwhile can use a blaster to destroy blocks and do higher damage. As a hybrid RPG and 2D platformer, combat is the central focus of MUSESTRUCK. Journey and Quinn actually have different strengths and weaknesses in combat beyond just their special abilities. Swapping between the two is crucial for most encounters, especially when it comes to the bosses.

When it comes to the story, MUSESTRUCK puts great emphasis on the characters. It's also positively bursting at the seams with faces and interactions that players are sure never to forget. The story is told with both heart and humor as it never misses an opportunity to deliver its jokes or pivotal character moments through its gameplay.
