Questline Studio announced that version 1.0 of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is coming out on May 23. It's going to be available for the PC via Steam along with consoles PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S.
This is exciting news especially to those who have long supported the game. It comes after two years in Early Access and four years of development. Watch the release date trailer here.
In a statement, the studio said that once the game goes live, everyone now has the chance to experience this dark, first-person, and open-world RPG in its final form. The full version of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon invites players to explore three huge regions which are the Misty Horns of the South, Cuanacht bathed in sun, and snowy Forlorn Swords. In addition, players can also look forward to:
A full and branching main story quest with hundreds of different endings
- 200+ side quests
- 250+ unique NPCs

- 55+ unique spells + 14 soul cubes

Third Person Perspective
In a post, the development shared that they've managed to implement a third-person perspective. This is something that has been asked by the players. The team cautions everyone that this is far from perfect and recommends that players do it in first-person view, which is what the game has originally been designed for. They did admit that there are people who have issues when it comes to first-person view. Thus, the third-person view is being added as an accessibility feature.
Supporter Edition
As part of the upcoming release, the studio is also offering the Supporter Edition priced at $9.99. The thing is, this pack isn't needed to play the game. However, those who do buy it can enjoy a digital artbook, original soundtrack, and Golden Horse Armor.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon invites players to step into a dark reimagination of Arthurian legends.
