Everstone Studio announced that Where Winds Meet is launching worldwide sometime this year. This Wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG is going to be available for the PC and PlayStation 5.
Closed Beta Test
To give more players the chance to experience the game early, a new round of closed beta tests is starting on May 16. In a post, the studio shared that the beta test is going to support multiple languages that include English, Japanese, and Korean. This is to make sure that a wide range of players can join and be able to "share valuable feedback." This beta test is limited to players who are in the US, Canada, Korea, and Japan. Signups are now open and end May 15.
An Unforgettable Journey
The game invites players to embark on an unforgettable journey that's set during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period of China. They get to take on the role of a young sword master as they try to uncover the mysteries of their own identity. As they experience thrilling adventures, they also weave their own tales in a volatile historical era which is filled with infinite possibilities.
Unique Combat System
Where Winds Meet has players uncover the mystique of Wuxia martial arts. They can craft and customize their characters and progression by making use of a unique eastern combat system inspired by Wuxia. There's also a wide range of familiar and exotic weapons and skills to unlock and upgrade. Players can engage in direct close-quarters combat as they wield an arsenal of weapons that include the Spear, Sword, Dual Blades, Glaive, Umbrella, and Fans. They can also unlock unique martial arts skills like Acupuncture Hitting, Lion's Roar, Merciful Picking, Tai Chi, and so on.
An Immersive Experience
That's not all since the game also provides an immersive experience for everyone through an open world ripe with historical and cultural richness. With the seamless landscapes and breathtaking vistas, players get to explore across diverse regions, from the tranquil countryside surrounded by majestic wilderness, through mysterious caves and treacherous canyons to lively cities teeming with life and spectacle. Players can also interact with diverse characters and engage with numerous authentic activities in a world that teems with life.
