Nomad Games announced that The Frostmarch Classic Expansion for Talisman: Digital 5th Edition is now available on Steam. This is a fully remastered version of the original Frostmarch Expansion from the 4th Edition of Talisman.
The Frostmarch Expansion was first released in 2009 and turns the realm of Talisman into a desolate and icy wasteland. It is where players fight against new enemies and even the Ice Queen herself. This iconic expansion was updated from the ground-up to make sure it fits within the ruleset and style of Talisman: Digital 5th Edition.
New Adventurers
The expansion sees not only deadly beasts but also fearsome monsters coming out of this new frozen land and more than ready to take advantage of the magical winter that's sweeping the world. One of the new features it adds to the game are the four new characters. These are:
- The Leprechaun: Can teleport around the land when his luck is on his side.
- The Necromancer: Skilled in the arts of magic and has the ability to gain Spirits as Followers.
- The Warlock: Can earn a great deal from completing Warlock Quests and while others find themselves battling to survive, he can obtain rewards through his own quests.
- The Ogre Chieftain: The Ice Queen has brought strong monsters with her and this has drawn the attention of the Ogre Chieftain who's never afraid to back down from a challenge and looking to conscript his foes into his own personal army.
New Quests
As mentioned, the Warlock has his own quests and the expansion adds 24 Warlock Quests. In addition, players can adjust the number of each Warlock Quest card available thanks to the Deck Editor. They can add even more customization to their next Talisman session,
Other New Content
Players can look forward to seeing their favorite Frostmarch cards remade in the 5th Edition style. There are more than 84 iconic adventure cards and 20 new spell cards included in The Frostmarch Classic. There are also three new endings which are the Crown and Sceptre, Warlock Quests, and Ice Queen.
