It was early this month when Jagex announced they were working on a new game set in the RuneScape universe. It looks like the wait won't take long as RuneScape: Dragonwilds is now on Steam Early Access. It's currently priced at $29.99.
That's not the only good news since the studio also revealed a special offer for early adopters. Those who buy the game during early access can receive:

- Pioneer's Cape
- 2 pieces of music from the game
That said, players should be reminded that games in early access are in development and not considered as finished. That means there may be features that can change over the course of the game's development.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is set in the forgotten continent of Ashenfall and a time where dragons have awoken. To survive against the threat of the Dragons, players need to level up and arm themselves before facing these threats. They'll have to follow the trail of destruction and uncover the mysteries of the continent in order to learn not only how to confront the dragons but more importantly how to overcome them.
Surviving through Sorcery
As they journey across the vast and vibrant regions of Ashenfall, players get to discover the ruins of forgotten civilisations and learn why wild and transformative magic has spilled from the fractured lands. The Anima-rich landscape of Ashenfall offers power unlike any other. It allows players to explore ore veins for example with simply the snap of their fingers. They can also conjure a spectral axe and then chop down a line of trees in an instant.
This all-new adventure features high dantasy and combines it with light RPG elements while also adding in that iconic RuneScape lore into a never-before-seen continent. Get ready to fight against legendary RuneScape creatures alongside entirely new foes like the fearsome Garou.
Community Driven
The studio revealed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds is being shaped by player feedback is each step of the way. The expansive continent of Ashenfall remains uncharted and what lies beyond the veil is still a mystery, for now at least. The studio is looking forward to the community helping build and guide the roadmap.
