A Dark Fantasy Version

King Arthur: Legion IX is a turn-based and character-centric tactical RPG. It's set in the King Arthur: Knight's Tale universe. The game is pretty much a dark fantasy version of the Arthurian myth and brings players to the mythical land of Avalon with an all-new story and heroes. At the same time it offers tough challenges to returning veterans.

A New Threat

In the game, a new threat arrives at Avalon. That's because the long-lost and infamous Ninth Legion of Rome has managed to set foot on the mythical island. Their commander, who is none other than the fallen hero Gaius Julius Mento, has been given a demonic legion by their dead emperor Septimus Sulla. Initially wanting to escape Tartarus, they somehow arrive at the magical realm of the Lady of the Lake. Gaius Julius Mento makes the decision to subjugate the island and establish Eternal Rome there.

Lead the Romans

The game actually has players go through a Roman-themed campaign as they take on the role of Gaius Julius Mento. They get to fight against the monsters of nightmares while also challenging the Pict tribes, the monstrous Fomorians, and even the cunning Sídhe. Players can experience the might of the Old Faith and Christianity along with facing the knights of Sir Mordred's Round Table across 15 handcrafted missions.

Overall, King Arthur: Legion IX offers a unique mix of turn-based tactics and character-centric RPGs. Get the game on Steam now.
